Reflection on Life

A good reputation is better than expensive perfume; and the day you die is better than the day you were born. It is better to go to a home where there is mourning than to one where there is a party, because the living should always remind themselves that death is waiting for us all. Someone who is always thinking about happiness is a fool. A wise person thinks about death. (Ecclesiastes 7: 1,2,4)

I decide to include this page on my website because it helps me to check my relationship with God with whom I will spend eternity. I am reminded of loved ones I spent many years with who have gone unto glory. The most important service in this life is to serve God.

When a child is born he cries. The mother’s womb has been his home for months. He would have just been fine staying there forever having free food, and a comfortable place to relax, and enjoy life with no struggles. When he is born into the world he seems not to be happy. He cries. But as he begins to grow, he starts to enjoy the place. He becomes so attached to this world that the thought of another world being better becomes hard to digest. When the time of death comes it becomes painful. The person starts to wonder how will the next world be like? But don’t you worry. The Lord said where my home is there are many mansions. I go and prepare a place for you. What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see. The Apostle Paul has some comforting words for us:

But I do not want you ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus (2 Thessalonians 4:13,14)
